Brightwell was founded by Philip Bassett in 2016 to focus on opportunities where financial returns and impact combine.
Before this, Philip spent over 20 years at Permira, a leading European Private Equity firm where he was the partner in charge of the investor side of the business and involved in over €25 billion of equity fundraisings.
Philip lives in Oxford with his family and is involved in a number of arts and medically focused charities. He holds an MA in Classics from the University of Oxford and is a Chartered Accountant.
